'Pedro's Spa Day'
'Pedro's Spa Day'
The last Belgian Grand Prix to be held on the old 8.7-mile Spa-Francorchamps road course was held in June 1970. Mexican Pedro Rodriguez was in fine form and his V12 BRM P153 never missed a beat, holding off Chris Amon's STP-March 701 to win. It was 50-years before another Mexican driver would stand on the top step of a Grand Prix podium in 2020.
